The COMMITTEES of the Sheldon Heights Church of Christ (SHCC) have
a primary purpose: of working to make sure the day-to-day, weekly, monthly,
or annual events or activities of the church take place in an orderly
and efficient manner. Following is a little information about some of
the COMMITTEES we currently have in place at SHCC. If you want to become
actively involved as a working "team member" of one or more
of these committees OR if you just want more information, please call

| ANNIVERSARY & APPRECIATION |
This committee works to plan
the annual program to celebrate the church anniversary weekend and
to show appreciation to our Ministers and their families. Contact:

| BAPTISM |
Washing, drying, and preparing baptismal
clothes is just part of what this committee does. They are also
responsible for assisting baptism candidates for their new birth

| BUILDING & GROUNDS |
This committee makes sure that the building
and its surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained. Contact:

| BULLETIN |
This committee works to produce the weekly
publication of the SHCC bulletin, entitled, THE MESSENGER. ALL information
for the bulletin needs to submitted by 12:00 noon each Thursday.

| COMMUNION |
Making sure the Lord's supper is prepared
for worship service is the primary goal of this committee. Contacts:

| DINING ROOM |
This committee is primarily responsible for
making sure that the dining room is set up and decorated during
various events. They also provide hostesses for many events. Contact:

| FINANCE |
This committee is responsible
for handling the multiple budgets and the finances of SHCC. Contact:

| KITCHEN |
This committee works to purchase and/or prepare
food for various events, including funerals, etc. Contact: Eugenia

| LIBRARY |
This committee operates the overall and day-to-day
operations of the SHCC church library. Contact: Karen E. Rosemond
or Brenda L. Gilbert, ext. 10

| NURSERY |
This committee helps make it possible for
parents to listen to the worship service undisturbed by their infant
or toddler. Children are taken care of in a loving environment during
the Sunday morning worship services. There are currently two areas,
one for infants and Bible Hour for Toddlers. Contacts: Deirdre Calhoun

| NURSING |
This committee is composed of RN's, LPN's,
CPA,s and other qualified staff. It is available for emergency medical
assistance during services. This committee also provides public
awareness of health concerns. Contact: Mary E. Bailey

| P.A.L.S. |
(People Able to Lend Support) This hard-working
committee uses their time and talents to assist SHCC committees
and ministries to complete various projects; their services include,
typing, copying, preparing folders, sending mail, and doing many
other important duties. Contact: Ardana J. McFerren, ext. 18

| PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT |
This committee is responsible
for projects related to P&D projects at SHCC (i.e. finding and
securing land, etc.) . It's current project is the development of
the Kennedy-Jordan Manor (KJM), which will be a home for seniors.

| SECURITY |
This committee helps make sure the facility,
as well as the surrounding area is safe both during and after services
and bible classes. Contact: Jerome Donald Sr, ext. 21.

| USHERS |
This committee makes sure that we have men
available to assist as ushers at all SHCC events. Contacts: Kevin
McFerren, Timothy Snow or Carlos Tibbs

| WEDDING |
This committee works with couples
who are getting married at the SHCC building to make sure rules
and regulations are followed and that the wedding plans run smoothly
